It's Not Too Late

Maybe you planned to read the Bible this year.
Maybe you even made a resolution to do so…
But you just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Or maybe you started reading, but life got in the way
with overtime, sickness, unexpected duties—
whatever.
It happens to us all.
Just this week,
I got behind on MY reading.
Really.
And not for any dire reason.
In fact it was a joyous reason!
My house was full of grand babies all weekend!
It was great! Really great! And . . . really loud.
Not very conducive to recording or studying.
And then… can I just be honest?
When they left, I was TIRED!!!!!!!
I did set an alarm yesterday to get up early.
It didn’t work.
So between my precious grands and my aging body,
I got behind in my reading.
I could have quit.
I don’t get paid for it.
Well, not in dollars.
But every single word of God is a gem.
Every time, and I do mean EVERY time,
You read from this living word
You add nuggets and gemstones
To your heavenly treasure chest.
Should you neglect to put one gem in that chest
Just because you can’t carry all of them at once?
And maybe, you didn’t even plan to read the Bible this year.
Maybe you made no resolution about it at all.
But now that you’ve stumbled across this post,
Maybe you’re thinking, “that’s a cool idea,
But now it’s too late.”
It’s not too late.
You can start right now.
You can go back to the beginning and read at your own pace.
Or you can pick up where I’m at and read with me.
Even if you’ve read the Bible from cover to cover before,
There is so much insight to gain
From reading it in chronological order.
